2011 Arts on the River
Artist Application
Eligibility
Arts on the River is open to all artists 18 years and older in all media except video. Provided images must be of original work produced in the last three years. Artists must be present for the duration of the festival.
Fees/Deadline
Only complete applications delivered on or before March 31 will be considered.
Application fee is $10.00 payable via PayPal or by check to Arts on the River.
Acceptance letters are mailed April 20, 2011
Booth space is 10'x10' -Fee $75, if postmarked by May 15, 2011; thereafter $100. Booth specifics provided at time of acceptance notification.
Not Accepted
Not accepted is any commercially-produced works; works made from commercially produced patterns, molds or castings; items made from kits; embellished items such as decorated or painted commercially-produced boxes, furniture, frames, etc; decoupage; mass produced T-shirts or sweatshirts; manufactured belts or handbags or any readymade clothing regardless of enhancements. When it is necessary to use commercially produced materials to complete the function of the work, the manufactured components must be subordinate to the original artistic interpretation and technique of the finished product and cannot be sold separately. Photomechanical or other reproductions or your artwork must be clearly labeled as a reproduction. Your booth must consist of at least 75% original content at all times.
Jury Consideration
Consideration of artwork accepted will be made by the AOTR Visual Arts Committee. Submission of both craft and art will be judged on the bases of design, technical skill., originality, diversity, and imagination.
Location / Hours / Dates
Hazel Ruby McQuain Park Riverfront Park, Morgantown, West Virginia, Artists will show outdoors in tents. Festivals will be held rain or shine.
Saturday, June 11, 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, June 12, noon - 6:00 p.m.
